In this video you will learn how to easily manage fonts on your computer without spending a dime on a font manager!
The free font manager is called AMP Font Viewer. It is a small program with BIG features. You can install fonts of course but the cool thing is you can install fonts temporarily! This feature is great in AMP Font Viewer font manager especially when you don’t want to install a font you will not be using much! This frees up your font memory in windows.
Another cool feature of this free font manager is to view folders of fonts, installed or not all while having the ability to search for fonts at the same time! If you know a piece of the fonts name you don’t have to go scrolling through to find it!
Well enough chatter, please watch the video and be on your way to using the best free font manager I have ever used, AMP Font View.
Don’t be shy!! Please leave feedback, THANKS!

More information:
Words from the AMP Font Viewer Creator Alberto Martinez:
This program is an easy to use but powerful font manager, which allows getting a quick overview of both installed and non installed fonts. It can install and uninstall fonts, and organize them in categories. Some of its features are:
- Supports TrueType and OpenType fonts.
- Supports Type1 fonts.
- Installation of fonts from a folder (one by one or from a list).
- Installation of fonts temporally (until the program is closed).
- Deletion of installed fonts.
- List of all installed fonts with several display options.
- List of the fonts from a folder with several display options.
- Several options for organizing fonts in categories and managing them.
- It can print a list of all or some of the installed fonts with an example of each font.
- Scratchpad area for testing the look of any font (installed or from a folder).
- Dual English/Spanish version.
Note for users of Windows Vista:
Windows Vista comes by default with tighter security settings, blocking some actions like installing fonts permanently. If you have problems installing fonts, locate the AMP Font Viewer shortcut in the Start Menu, right-click it and select Properties from the popup menu. Then go to the compatibility tab and check “Run this program as an administrator” (you may be asked to enter an administrator password). After this, you can install fonts like in other versions of Windows.

Why You Should Manage Fonts?
Managing fonts can be a bit of a burden but that’s where font managers come in. There are a tons of them out there but most cost money and if your not a professional designer then there is no need to purchase these software from $50 and up especially when you have a great free font manager such as AMP Font Viewer!
A good reason to manage fonts is because if too many are simply copied to your font folder in Windows it will eat up your memory and they will stay there until you shut down your computer hogging (oink oink) your precious memory!
The only fonts that should be in the system folder are the ones put there by installers. Some applications need certain fonts to work properly.
I recommend you create a folder on your computer where you will store all your downloaded fonts. I have all mines separated into sub folders which are categorized so its easier for me to find a certain style of font I want to use, such as dingbats, cursive, non-serif and more!

Sir,
Your tutorial about the AMP utility is exceptional. Well paced and complete. I say the coders of the program owe you a 6 pack of cool-aid.
Look forward to viewing more of your work.

@NR: Thanks! I really appreciate your comment!
Thank You for the video. This is a big help in using the program. A glass of kool-aid in your honor.
But- for someone like me, I still do not understand how to load the fonts into the program. Did the program copy the fonts from my system folder? Can I delete unnecesary ones from there? How do I access the fonts from a program?
Thank You, you were a help, now I am off to research these questions.
@Robin Rakes: Glad I could help!
You can load fonts by selecting a folder where you have them, you can also temporarily load fonts but I haven’t looked into where it stores them, just make sure you uninstall those temporary fonts before you close the program. Good luck!
