What Is Flickr?
Ludicorp, a Vancouver-based company launched Flickr in February 2004. The service emerged out of tools originally created for Ludicorp’s Game Neverending, a web-based massively multiplayer online game. Flickr proved a more feasible project and ultimately Game Neverending was shelved.
In March 2005, Yahoo! acquired Ludicorp and Flickr. During the week of June 28, 2005, all content was migrated from servers in Canada to servers in the United States, resulting in all data being subject to United States federal law.
On April 9, 2008, Flickr began to allow paid subscribers to upload videos, limited to 90 seconds in length and 150MB in size.
Flickr is a way to get your photos and videos to the people who matter to you. And since basic accounts are free, there’s no reason not to explore further
Upload from your desktop, send by email, or use your cameraphone. Get rid of red eye, crop a photo, or get creative with fonts and effects! Use collections, sets, and tags to organize your photos and videos. Use groups and privacy controls to share your photos and videos. Share where your photos and videos were taken, and see photos and videos taken near you. You can make stuff from your photos such as sexy cards, photo books, framed prints, Target pick up, DVDs, etc. Get updates from family and friends.

@Mori: Thanks! Glad it helped you
Here’s another easy way to get it with Firefox without downloading anything. When you’re at the picture that you want to save, right click on any blank area of the page and click on “View page info”. then click on the “Media” tab. Then click on the top link. Then use the down arrow key on your keyboard to scroll through the pictures. When you find the picture that you’re looking for, click the “Save as…” button on the bottom right, just above the picture.
But the suggestion from Chris works great
URL not working
Open Firefox and go to the link to get the Web Developer extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60
