In Mozilla Firefox 2, it likes to resize images automatically to “fit in the browser window”. This really annoys me just like it did in Internet Explorer (The horror!). I remember in the first Firefox it had an option to disable this in the options but not anymore. I’m happy I found a way to make Firefox show images the way they were intended to, fullscreen!

I haven’t had a chance to see if Firefox 3 has this option enabled as of yet because most of my extensions havent been ported over to Mozilla Firefox 3 yet.

UPDATE: This also works in Mozilla Firefox 3.

Below I will reveal how to get rid of this annoyance forever! LOL

  1. Enter about:config in Firefox address bar.
  2. Enter browser.enable automatic image resizing in Filter field.
  3. You will get a single result in the bottom pane. Double click it to change value to false.
  4. You’re done! Enjoy large images without Firefox disturbing you now! ;)
